About The Position
The position involves preparing surfaces for paint applications by removing paint, dirt, grease, or rust from pipes and other materials. The role requires selecting and preparing appropriate coatings of paints within specifications, as well as applying paint either by spraying or hand painting. Inspecting the quality of the coating, viscosity, and paint flow is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the incumbent must safely handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials and ensure tools are properly cleaned after use. The role requires the operation of hand and power tools common to painting equipment.
