Now offering a $1000 Sign on Bonus & New starting wage! SUMMARY Responsible for painting trailers to meet quality standards. Position utilizes HVLP paint process. 3 Day Weekend! Summary – Carry-On Trailer is in need of painters! The successful candidate will spray trailers to prime, paint trailers in the dip tank and/or repair paint on finished trailers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities – The ability to work as a team, follow orders and complete tasks as assigned by Supervisor Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment required for surface preparation, primer and topcoat application. Cleaning and maintaining of all equipment and booths. Ability to operate machinery and equipment to prime trailers. Make paint rework repairs as needed. Employee must be able to work in a respirator. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications – The successful candidate will be able to proficiently perform each of the duties listed above. Painters will be evaluated on their ability to create a finished trailer that does not need to be repaired. Language skills – The ability to comprehend and apply instructions in English and Spanish is a plus Physical Demands – The physical demands for this position include, but are not limited to: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment – The work environment characteristics could be, but are not limited to: The employee will be standing for most of the workday. Temperature will vary with the outside temperature. The employee will be working in “hot” areas, specifically the prime booth. The employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
