About The Position

The Painter is responsible for painting custom exhibit components made from various materials while displaying the highest levels of quality, accuracy, and professionalism at all times. What you’ll do: Work closely with the lead carpenters, shop supervisor, and project managers on jobs to review any potential deviations from the prints or to provide suggestions on alternative methods, colors, or techniques to be used Maintain work area in a safe and clean condition free of hazards, including wearing a respirator when in the spray booth and always ensuring adequate ventilation in the paint shop Paint exhibit components according to detail prints or verbal using power and pneumatic tools Attend regular production and launch meetings as required Communicate project-specific issues to the team to ensure efficient and timely resolution of potential situations QualificationsWhat we’d love to see: High school diploma or equivalent is required Prior experience in automotive finishing and painting Proficient in the DuPont paint code system and all of the tools used in the paint shop Strong attention to detail and excellent knowledge and practice of safety standards This position requires the handling of hazardous chemicals and waste Heavy lifting is required; up to 50 pounds

Requirements
