About The Position
Selecting and knowing how to use the correct tools for various tasks Brush, roller, striping machine, taping and masking equipment, caulk gun, spray equipment, air compressor, hand tools, ladder, scaffolding, etc. Responsible for the application of varnish, polyurethane, primer, paint, caulk and other coatings Mask and prepare surfaces for coatings Clean and maintain equipment by removing all traces of paint Repair imperfections Perform exterior and interior painting of commercial buildings, drywall, steel, equipment, structures, etc. in a professional manor Prepare and protect work surfaces with drop cloths and masking Responsible for keeping the work area clean Responsible for loading, unloading, preparing and cleaning of job site materials, and tools. Provide quality work and take corrective action for conditions that may affect job quality Responsible for the setup and execution of tasks on scaffolding and ladders Communicate to foreman/supervisor if surface to be painted are not in proper condition to provide a quality finish Use materials and resources efficiently
