About The Position

To provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support related to the Paint department.

Requirements

• Education: General: high school, GED & understand, read and write English
• Experience: 3-5 years
• Skills: Basic knowledge of sanding and prepping of parts ready for coating application. Ability to show adequate communication skills to a diverse group of people
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor within a flexible, fast paced, and busy work environment
• This position requires research and filing and therefore must be able to stand for periods of time in addition to moderate lifting, bending and stretching.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces to be painted or sealed as requested by the working instructions using abrasives, solvents, and brushes.
• Installs masking for strips or other aircraft painting detail.
• Mixes stirs and thins paint or other coatings, using spatula or power mixing equipment.
• Perform spraying of base and top coatings assuring compliance with technical and quality requirements
