What You’ll Do As a painter, you’ll be part of our Paint Department team located in Willard OH. You’ll get to: Complete paint production activities, including: Safe operation of the manual touch up gun; making adjustments to improve quality and operations Assist in booth setup, gun positioning, and powder flow settings Appropriate use of PPE, such as: Tyvek suit, hood, mask, and gloves Implement practices that meet quality standards as it pertains to paint operations Complete visual inspection of both in-process and finished products Maintain a clean and organized work area to meet 6S standards (e.g. cleaning, mopping) Complete powder usage sheets accurately Complete the color changes of a module (i.e. remove/install filters, remove/clean module hoppers) Complete the scheduled preventative maintenance for all paint equipment, such as: Venturies, guns (automatic and handheld), sieve screen, and feed hopper Report any safety or quality issues to the appropriate personnel Understand the safe operation of all equipment Abide by all SBD policies and procedures Follow all SBD safety rules and regulations Identify concerns and provide insight for continuous improvement opportunities Other related departmental duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Zone Leader Who You Are You always strive to do a good job…but wouldn’t it be great if you could do your job and do a world of good? Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to learn the tasks, equipment, and PPE required of the position
  • Proficient with operating manual touchup gun controls with appropriate triggering technique preferred
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work independently
  • Must be self-motivated with a good work ethic (e.g. minimal absences and tardiness)
  • Awareness of SBD policies and ISO standards
  • Ability to interact with other associates throughout the facility
  • Ability to walk, stand, and periodically lift up to 40 lbs. for a minimum of eight hours daily
  • Available to work overtime as needed
