About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance of all painted and wall papered surfaces. The Painter applies paints, stains, enamels, and lacquers to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces. Key duties include distributing and tracking supplies, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure sanitization and safety while delivering optimal performance. The role requires effective communication and competent job performance to gain confidence and cooperation from peers and supervisors.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
1 year of recent relevant experience.
Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Possess written and verbal communications skills to communicate with fellow team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel.
Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Comfortable using tools required for painting and repairing a variety of surfaces, both interior and exterior.

Responsibilities

Maintain the appearance of all painted and wall papered surfaces.

Distribute and track supplies as needed and maintain stock levels.
Gain confidence and cooperation from peers and supervisors through effective communication and competent job performance.
Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure sanitization and safety while delivering optimal performance.
Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
Build collaborative relationships with peers and other staff members to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
