About The Position

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated associate who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to our Paint Department. In this role, you will prepare, clean, mix, and apply primers, paints, and powder coatings to large, fabricated weldments and sheet metal components, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of solid paint and/or powder coating experience
  • Experience with metal preparation for painting and powder coating
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
  • Required vision abilities: Close vision, Distance vision, Color vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, Ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Checking in daily with your Supervisor
  • Preparing metal surfaces for painting or powder coating (sanding, spatter and rust, wiping down steel)
  • Using hand-held tools such as grinders and pressure washers
  • Mixing paints and coatings properly for production jobs and sub-assemblies
  • Performing light assembly work for paint prep (masking, ink stenciling)
  • Operating material moving equipment (cranes, pallet jacks, forklifts, dollies) as needed
  • Adjusting paint and powder coating equipment settings correctly
  • Applying coatings using proper techniques
  • Inspecting finished paint jobs for quality issues (runs, missed areas)
  • Completing preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Performing quality checks to ensure products meet standards
