About The Position

Fairview is looking for a Painter to join our team at our Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. Patch and Paint interior and exterior of the facilities in a craftsman like manner. Maintain database of interior and exterior finishes. Maintain stock of interior & exterior finishes including, but not limited to paints, stains, wall covering, flooring, tools and equipment. Prioritize and manage workload, effectively communicate with management, and key stakeholders both written & orally.

no weekends

Requirements

• 3 years practical on the job experience
• Must be able to effectively utilize Accruent TMS CMMS to manage service requests
• Drivers License

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
• Orders paint and fabric supplies for general maintenance by completing work requests.
• Receives estimates on materials and labor and assist reviewing invoices and records as needed.
• Strips and refinishes wooden and steel assets (desks, tables, chairs) according to accepted application guidelines.
• Provides information to departments regarding color selection, quality, quantity and cost of paints, stains, and wall coverings.
• Stores, handles, and disposes of hazardous materials according to established procedure, observing all safety precautions.
• Applies wall coverings (wallpaper, plastic boards, etc.). Maintains records of all paints and wall coverings applied throughout the facilities.
• Communicates with departments on the coordination of work.
• Able to lift 75 lbs.
• Able to utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, CMMS & other company issued software and equipment.
