About The Position
Appellation Healdsburg is a luxury, culinary-driven hotel in Sonoma County wine country, blending refined hospitality with craftsmanship, design, and a deep connection to local culture. With thoughtfully designed accommodations and elevated dining experiences, we deliver a high-end guest experience rooted in detail and quality. We are seeking a skilled Full-Time Painter to join our Engineering & Facilities team. This role is responsible for maintaining the visual excellence of the property through interior and exterior painting, finishing, and surface care. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship and understands the importance of presentation in a luxury hospitality environment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional painting experience (hospitality or commercial preferred)
- Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or elevated platforms
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or high-end residential properties
- Familiarity with finishes, textures, and specialty coatings
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance or facilities work
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, patching, priming)
- Apply paints, stains, and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
- Maintain guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, and back-of-house spaces
- Perform touch-ups and repairs to ensure a consistently high-end appearance
- Mix and match paints to achieve precise color standards
- Safely operate tools, ladders, lifts, and painting equipment
- Collaborate with maintenance and housekeeping teams to minimize guest disruption
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment
