About The Position

We are looking for an experienced painter who will be responsible for painting or staining of walls, floors, ceilings, doors, trim, and other projects as required in a commercial property. This individual is responsible for the installation and repair of sheetrock or plaster walls as required and for the installation and repair of wall coverings as required. This position will support attractions, food & beverage locations, retail areas, offices, and common spaces to ensure clean, safe, and visually appealing environment for guests and team members. This individual will perform all building painting tasks as assigned by their supervisor when required. Dezerland Park Orlando is more than Florida’s largest indoor attraction. Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
General knowledge of painting principles and practices and prior building experience is required
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to perform mechanical maintenance tasks, handle or feel objects, tools, and controls; talk and hear
The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms and to climb on scaffolds and ladders
The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., and to move objects up to 100 lbs
Good verbal skills required
Good communication skills
Must be able to work flexible hours which includes holidays, weekends, and evenings.

Nice To Haves

Experience in commercial painting is a plus
Experience in wall papering a plus

Responsibilities

Painting and Staining of all applicable surfaces as required: walls, ceilings, floors, fixtures, props, etc.
Repair and /or replacement and/or installation of wall coverings as required.
Ensure that adequate paint, stain, and wallpapering supplies are kept in a professional manner and properly inventoried.
Match colors and finishes to existing designs and specifications
Perform touch-ups and repainting to maintain park appearance standards
Assist with painting sets, murals, signage, and themed décor as needed
Work with operations team to meet aesthetic requirements
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of paints and chemicals
Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition
Protect surrounding areas during painting project
Identify and report damage or maintenance issues beyond painting
All Work performed must be of the highest quality
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
The employee is expected to work in other areas of the park when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
