This role is essential to ensuring our equipment, machinery, and products are finished to the highest standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience as a painter-sprayer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with various paint types (e.g., solvent-based, water-based) and application methods.
  • Proficient in using spray guns, compressors, and other painting tools.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and painting best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality and consistency.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Capable of standing, bending, or kneeling for extended periods.
  • Tolerance to exposure to fumes, chemicals, and noise (with provided safety measures).

Responsibilities

  • Apply paint, primers, and finishes to equipment, machinery, or products using spray guns, rollers, or brushes.
  • Ensure even and consistent application of paint to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Operate and maintain spray booths, compressors, and related equipment.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, or applying primer.
  • Use appropriate tools and techniques to remove rust, grease, or debris from surfaces.
  • Inspect painted surfaces to ensure they meet company standards for quality, durability, and appearance.
  • Perform touch-ups or rework as necessary.
  • Maintain painting equipment, tools, and work area in good working condition.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with spray guns, compressors, or related equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Work closely with maintenance and production teams to coordinate painting schedules and priorities.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure minimal downtime in production.
