We are recruiting for a reliable, talented Painter to aid in the internal and external maintenance and “curb appeal” of the sites in our sizeable property portfolio.

Requirements

Previous professional painting experience
Must be able to read, particularly on paint cans, and interpret instructions.
Must be able to travel via private vehicle from site to site.
Must be able to climb and perform work on a ladder.
Ability to perform heavy lifting / pushing / pulling (50 lbs +)
Must pass pre-employment fitness-for-duty physical exam
Bend/Stoop/Squat/Kneel/Stand/Climb; Reach above shoulder
Able to distinguish between colors.
Finger Dexterity: Handle tools, power tools and equipment.
May be required to wear respirator, dust mask, face covering- need to be able to perform tasks while wearing face covering.

Responsibilities

Apply paint to surfaces including walls, floors, doors, and cabinets.
Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting.
Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection.
Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.
Erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; moves furniture and equipment as necessary.
Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting.
Apply several coats according to paint directions.
Tape off areas when needed.
Apply touchups or second coats.
Remove paint splatters when finished.
Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns.
Utilize spray guns for large jobs.
Work on ladders to reach ceilings or walls.
