About The Position

Job Purpose: Paints a variety of large and small interior and exterior structures Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time). Paints facilities by cleaning and preparing surfaces for paint application, mixing paints according to established procedure, and applying paint to surfaces with an appropriate tool(s). Maintains safe and sanitary work and storage areas by setting-up scaffolding and ladders securely, cleaning tools and equipment after use, and storing materials according to established procedures and regulatory requirements. Job Specifications:

Requirements

• 4 years of vocational painting experience
• Working knowledge of painting techniques including faux artistry
• Ability to identify and mix paints
• Ability to use painting tools and equipment
• Ability to work from blueprints and schematics and/or verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work from heights including ladders, scaffolds, and lifts
• Ability to reach, crouch, and bend
• Ability to document assignments in a shop log or through a work order system
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to work in a smoking environment
• Ability to appear for work on time
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and measurements
• Ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
• Ability to accept constructive criticism

Nice To Haves

• Certificate of training as a journey worker
• Exposure to related trades such as carpentry or construction
• Exposure to the casino, hospitality, and/or hotel industry
• Multi-lingual
