About The Position

The Painter is responsible for painting, plastering, and wallpapering public areas to ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment. An amazing opportunity to be a pivotal part of the Omni convention collection hotel. The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is a true outdoor recreation, entertainment and culinary destination paying homage to the heritage and modern progress of the city. With 605 guest rooms and suites, the luxury hotel will showcase views of the 70-acre Scissortail Park and the downtown skyline with 75,000 square feet of meeting and event space, sports bar, specialty restaurant, coffee shop and a retail venue.

Requirements

1 year of previous experience as a commercial painter preferred
Ability to work in the interior and exterior of the hotel and work with paints, plaster and other painting materials
Good verbal communication, attention to detail, time management are required.
The ability to stand/walk, bend, reach over-head, squat, kneel for extended periods of time.
The ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Have the knowledge and ability to use the proper equipment and tools.
Have a thorough understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
Have flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Maintain (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis
Keep the hotel decor in good condition
Clean all work areas after completing job
Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and other emergencies
Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations
Other duties as assigned or required
Keep outside curbs painted
Keep all guest corridors in good repair
Able to maintain engineering parts and supplies inventory.
Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible)
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
