Job Summary: The Auto Body Shop Painters play an essential role in the car repair and restoration industry. They restore vehicles to their original condition or even better by repairing damage and applying fresh coats of paint.

Requirements

Proven work experience as an Auto Body Painter
Knowledge of different types of paint and how to mix them
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and paint sprayers
Excellent eye for detail and color
Valid driver's license
Working knowledge of industry and manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures
May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs
Good hand-eye coordination
Prolonged periods of standing
Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling, and lifting

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and prime the vehicle body for paint, including sanding, buffing, and masking
Apply Paing to the vehicle body, ensuring a smooth and even finish
Develop and mix paint colors to match the vehicle's original color or client's preference
Use spray painting equipment to apply decorative finishes or custom designs
Monitor paint supplies and order additional stock, as necessary
Stay updated with the latest techniques and technology in auto body painting
Maintain a clean, safe working environment
Other duties as assigned
