About our property: The award-winning, 480-acre Saddlebrook Resort has made a name for itself as a premier meeting and vacation destination, as well as one of the nation’s preeminent athletic training facilities. What you will have an opportunity to do: We are seeking an experienced Painter who is highly motivated and detail-oriented to join our Engineering team. Responsibilities will include a variety of maintenance duties such as wall repair (Stucco, textured), painting, and supporting the Engineering team with different tasks. Collaboration with colleagues is crucial, so flexibility and a positive mindset are important traits for this position. Your Role: Preparing surfaces: Cleaning, scraping, wire brushing, steam cleaning, or abrasive blast cleaning surfaces. Applying coatings: Using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other equipment to apply under and finish coats of paint. Maintaining equipment: Cleaning, performing routine maintenance, and repairing equipment. Examining finished surfaces: Verifying conformance to specifications and retouching any defective areas. Your daily routine involves conducting detailed assessments to identify areas requiring care and attention. Whether replicating existing patterns or crafting new ones, you ensure seamless integration of repairs.

Requirements

  • Someone with a experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort
  • Someone with knowledge of "household" repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Someone with an engaging and welcoming personality
  • Someone with a strong attention to detail
  • Someone who can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Someone with a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
  • Someone with excellent communication skills
  • Someone who is available to work various shifts to include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
