About The Position

Advanced Industries LLC has been in business for over 50 years as a turnkey manufacturing company fabricating aluminum and steel products for the Department of Defense. We are looking for the next addition to our award-winning team!! As a Painter, you will play a key role in the production and finishing of our manufactured products. You’ll follow work instructions to properly prepare surfaces, mix and apply coatings, and ensure a high-quality finish based on your lead’s direction. We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, attention to detail, and a drive to produce quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of experience as a painter in a manufacturing environment, or relevant progressive work experience.
  • Must put safety as the number one priority in all job assignments.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the correct use of power tools.
  • Must be able to tolerate repetitive, tedious work.
  • Must have the ability to comprehend the workflow in the department/plant environment.
  • Must be able to communicate closely with co-workers and supervisors regarding work-related items.
  • Must have a willingness to continue learning processes.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, which includes THC/Marijuana

Responsibilities

  • Perform industrial painting using spray equipment and hand tools to meet job order specifications.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
  • Mix and apply paints and coatings according to specifications to ensure proper coverage and finish quality.
  • Inspect finished products to verify they meet quality standards and correct any defects as needed.
  • Operate and maintain paint equipment, booths, and curing ovens in a clean and organized condition.
  • Follow all safety procedures when handling paints, chemicals, and equipment, including proper use of respirators and PPE.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes, dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Support production needs by completing tasks efficiently and assisting with other duties as assigned.
