About The Position

Position Purpose: Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is hiring a Painter! Under general supervision, the Painter maintains and repairs all of the cosmetic finishes throughout the facility to ensure an aesthetically pleasing and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and/or residential painting and paper hanging required.
  • Painting, paper hanging, sheetrock finishing, staining and lacquering and application of sprayed finishes experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Related trade school or manufacturers training preferred.
  • Experience with installation and repair of suspended ceilings, floor materials and other cosmetic finishes helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and repairs all cosmetic finishes throughout the facility through the work order system.
  • Administers assigned preventative maintenance programs to ensure the safe and proper operation of building systems and equipment.
  • Maintains equipment within assigned specialty.
  • Monitors parts supply and complete general staff education within specialty as assigned.
  • Responds to building emergencies such as fire or power outages in order to neutralize any threat and restore the building to normal operation as quickly as possible.
  • Follows Engineering Department safety procedures.
  • Uses appropriate personal protection equipment, follows hazardous materials standards and keeps equipment and work areas clean and in proper working order.
