About The Position

To maintain a well functioning hotel and upkeep of the face and cosmetic appearance of the hotel. Establish programs to prevent breakdowns and follow the preventive maintenance programs Maintain the physical appearance of the hotel according to the company’s standard. Skills that are required are painting, drywall, patching, etc. Know emergency procedures for fire, bomb threat, evacuation and medical emergency according to the SOP’s Perform Preventative Maintenance duties according to the SOP’s. Respond as promptly as possible to guest requests for repairs & replacements. Be able to perform carpentry work, wallcovering repairs, tile work, ceiling tile replacement, drywall repair and painting. Be able to measure, calculate and order materials for all projects as required. Be able to take charge of a shift in the absence of the Supervisor. Assist other departments in the hotel to keep equipment in the best possible operating order. Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must have basic knowledge in most areas of hotel maintenance including Preventive Maintenance
• Must have strong knowledge in the areas of carpentry, wallcovering repairs, painting, ceiling & floor tile repairs
• Must have experience on how to use all hand & power tools related to carpentry
• Has been in a Sr. Maintenance level position or equivalent for at least 2 years
