About The Position

The Painter position at Plantation Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is responsible for carrying out works required to repair, maintain, and improve the facility and grounds. The primary goal is to ensure an excellent customer experience at all times by maintaining the building and grounds, performing various repairs, and completing maintenance work orders efficiently.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb.
• Ability to bend.
• Ability to push up to 150 lbs.
• Ability to stand approximately  of the time.
• Ability to reach.
• Ability to hear.
• Ability to communicate clearly with other employees.
• Ability to work inside and outside, in heat and cold.
• Tolerance for wet/humidity conditions.
• Tolerance for noise and vibrations from equipment.
• Tolerance for occasional fumes, odors, and chemical exposure with proper breathing apparatus.
• Ability to climb ladders and work on roofs.
• Freedom from illegal use of drugs, and freedom from use and effects of the use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
• Must not have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting.

Responsibilities

• General cleanliness and maintenance of building and grounds.
• Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Cleans and maintains stairways, storage areas, boiler room and outdoor areas.
• Keeps grounds clear of debris and properly maintained.
• Performs repairs on doors, walls, floors, and ceilings.
• Completes maintenance work order requests in a timely manner.
• Painting, caulking, drywall, pressure washing and sealing.
