About The Position

We're hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our facilities team! In this role, you'll handle all aspects of surface preparation, painting, and finishing across various campus buildings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in painting is preferred
• Proven experience as a painter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
• Experience with various painting techniques and materials
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to operate painting equipment safely and effectively

Responsibilities

• Clean, sand, scrape, and prepare surfaces for painting
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints with appropriate materials
• Apply primers or sealers to surfaces as needed
• Apply paint, varnish, lacquer, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
• Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and textures
• Apply specialty finishes, such as faux finishes or murals, as required
• Operate and maintain painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and power washers
• Clean and store tools and equipment properly after use
