About The Position

Omega Paint & Body, a division of Nelson Mazda Tulsa, is hiring for a Painter's Assistant! Expectation of schedule: The Painter’s assistant will report no later than 8:00am daily, Monday -Friday, however, occasional Saturday shifts may be needed in order to meet demand. An earlier start during the Summer to beat the heat, ie: 5:30am, is expected and a later start in the Winter is possible as temperature and daylight permit. Compensation: The starting rate for this position is $15 per hour. The basic job description for this position is as follows: The Painter’s Assistant aides the Omega Paint & Body Painter with daily duties and operations. This is a full time, 40-45 hour per week position. The job requires the individual to be outside for the shift’s entirety, so exposure to inclement weather and temperature is expected. The basic job duties and requirements for this position are as follows:

Responsibilities

• Supporting the on-lot Painter in whatever capacity needed, including, but not limited to: Prepping cars to paint, including washing, cleaning, sanding, taping, etc.
• Moving cars back and forth from the paint area to the lot.
• Filling supplies on paint trailer, communicating when supplies are running low
• Supporting the Sales and Service team on correcting any paint issues for customers
• Cleaning and daily maintenance of tools and equipment
• Responsible for daily trash removal and are upkeep
• Communicating daily with the Nelson Inventory team on order of car reconditioning
