About The Position

The Painter Robot Operator at Fountain Plating Company is responsible for operating painting equipment and ensuring that parts are painted according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to work effectively in a split shift environment. The operator will mix and measure paint, clean parts, and conduct post-paint inspections to ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • 1 plus years of experience in Aircraft Painting.

Responsibilities

  • Mix and measure paint per specifications.
  • Review work order and confirm mixed paint and part match prior to painting in booth.
  • Clean parts as per specification.
  • Paint part according to specification and thickness.
  • Keep paint booth filters changed and booth free of foreign objects (FOD).
  • Complete necessary paperwork related to painting operations.
  • Conduct post-paint inspection of parts for appearance and proper coverage.
  • Paint effectively on different surfaces and metals.
  • Observe safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing during spray painting operations.
  • Complete the paint daily checklist.
  • Properly utilize all personal protective equipment (PPE) required under OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain all paint equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
