About The Position

Join the Steel Craft Team – Bring Precision, Color, and Craftsmanship to Every Part You Paint! We’re looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on Industrial Powder Painter to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. Requirements

  • Must have high school or equivalent experience.
  • Must have the ability to read/write and understand both verbal and written work instructions, work orders and customer specifications.
  • Must demonstrate high level of eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, stand for all or most of a regular work shift.
  • Must have and wear protective gear designated for the department.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience and/or training in production painter position or proven skills for position.
  • Must possess knowledge of powder coating applications and techniques.
  • Must possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of reading, writing, and understanding work instructions, work orders, or customer specifications.

  • Knowledge/experience with powder painting applications and techniques
  • Knowledge/experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of paint guns/equipment

Responsibilities

  • Apply coatings using a spray gun with precision, consistency, and attention to quality.
  • Adjust paint gun settings and color variations to meet customer specifications.
  • Review product entering booth for coatability and that masking has been completed.
  • Match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
  • Maintain production rates and quality standards
  • Check and identify worn parts on spray guns to ensure proper function.
  • Troubleshoot issues on the paint line and verify finished surfaces meet specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned
