We are hiring for a Painter and Material Handler to join our First Shift team! Xylem is hiring! As the Painter and Material Handler on first shift (6:00am - 2:30pm). As a member of the Production Team, you will be responsible for receiving and stocking inventory, pulling orders for both pump and parts orders, prepping and painting orders, operating our blast booth, and packaging items for shipment. If you have mechanical aptitude and like variety in your work day, then we are looking for you! Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience as a painter in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills and enjoys a variety of work / multi-tasking
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, squat, push, pull and move about the facility
  • Ability to climb ladders, lift and carry heavy loads, perform manual labor.
  • Ability to work in areas involving heights, enclosed spaces, and near or above water.
  • Work with material handling equipment, hand tools, and daily exposure to shop elements
  • Walk or stand at least 8+ hours per day
  • Ability to work overtime occasionally

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with various types of paint and blast media is a plus
  • Fork-Lift/Crane experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and stocking inventory
