About The Position

OceanView at Falmouth & Cumberland Crossing is a vibrant and welcoming community dedicated to providing high-quality care and enriching the lives of our residents. We pride ourselves on creating comfortable and well-maintained living spaces where our residents feel at home. We are seeking a skilled and reliable full-time Painter to join our dedicated maintenance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our apartments and homes are in pristine condition for new residents. Your responsibilities will include interior and exterior painting, as well as restoring units to a "like new" standard between occupancies. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly contribute to a positive experience for our new and returning residents.

Requirements

Proven experience as a painter, with a strong understanding of residential maintenance.
Thorough knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively restore apartments/homes to a high standard between residents.
Ability to prepare surfaces properly and achieve high-quality finishes.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet unit turnover schedules.
Good communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a healthcare or senior living environment.
Familiarity with different types of paint and coatings suitable for residential use.

Responsibilities

Prepare residential units for new residents by restoring them to a "like new" condition. This includes painting walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces. Installing new appliances, counter top, bathroom fixtures, etc.
Thoroughly prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks.
Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other appropriate tools.
Mix paints to match specified colors or create custom shades.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of materials and equipment.
Perform minor repairs to walls and ceilings as needed.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Communicate effectively with the maintenance team and other staff members regarding unit turnover timelines.
Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed, including on call rotation.
