About The Position
The Painter - Journeyman is responsible for performing skilled work in the preparation and application of paint and coatings by brush, spray, or roller to buildings, furniture, and equipment. This role requires a responsible and accurate approach to ensure high-quality results. The position involves working individually or as part of a crew, receiving daily work assignments, and reviewing work orders to determine material and procedural requirements. The painter must prepare job sites for safe working conditions, apply primer and paint, maintain tools and equipment, and restore work areas after project completion. The role also includes training apprentices, operating a School Board vehicle, and adhering to safety procedures.
