We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Painter who takes pride in flawless finishes, understands coatings at a technical level, and knows that quality is in the details.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial painting experience (automotive or manufacturing preferred)
  • Ability to read and follow paint specs, drawings, and work instructions
  • Experience with multi-part coating systems and proper mixing techniques
  • Strong understanding of spray equipment setup and adjustments
  • Familiarity with inspection tools like wet film gauges and DFT gauges
  • Knowledge of SSPC, NACE, or ISO surface prep standards is a plus
  • Certification or trade testing is a bonus (we’ll also test hands-on skills before hire)
  • Mixing custom paint formulas using toners and base converters
  • Monitoring and adjusting paint viscosity
  • Working under QA/QC inspection standards
  • Understanding coating performance and finish quality expectations
  • Follow strict HSE standards in a solvent-based environment
  • Proper use of PPE including respirators and protective gear
  • Comfortable working in industrial conditions, including heat, confined spaces, and heights
  • Detail-oriented, you don’t cut corners on quality
  • Reliable, team-focused, and disciplined in your work
  • Physically capable and safety-minded
  • Flexible to work overtime, nights, or weekends when needed
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, and reach throughout the shift
  • Strong visual ability, including depth perception and focus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and solvent cleaning methods
  • Apply industrial coatings including epoxy, polyurethane, zinc-rich, and multi-layer systems
  • Work with top-tier systems like AkzoNobel, PPG, Sherwin-Williams, Sikkens, and Axalta
  • Mix paints, thinners, and catalysts per technical data sheets (TDS)
  • Spray using airless, conventional, and HVLP systems
  • Hit target dry film thickness (DFT) and deliver a clean, consistent finish
  • Identify and correct defects like runs, fisheyes, orange peel, and more
  • Paint hydraulic cylinders, tubing, valve blocks, and structural components
  • Perform touch-ups and repairs following adhesion testing
  • Maintain equipment and keep your work area clean and organized
  • Work closely with leads and supervisors to keep production moving
