Collins Aerospace is looking for a Painter I for our Miami, FL Landing gear Facility; who will utilize work instructions, technical data, and experience to support production by painting aircraft landing gear components. This includes the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during operations. Painter must properly document work performed, update daily logs, and support preparation for final inspection of parts. This position will be working in an Onsite capacity.

Requirements

Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training).

Nice To Haves

Ability to Interpret blueprints and overhaul manuals for disassembly purposes
Basic computer skills.
Ability to operate hand tools, electrical and pneumatic tools
Ability to speak, read and understand English.

Responsibilities

Install components using tools equipment and other special tools as required.
Clean parts by steam and/or solvent cleaning in accordance with overhaul manual and GR specifications.
Interpret blueprints and overhaul manuals for disassembly purposes
Operate hand tools, electrical and pneumatic tools
Painting, cleaning, masking, attaching fixtures and demasking.
