About The Position

The Painter carries out the day-to-day painting needs of the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC). This position requires performing journeyman level work, including new construction and tenant improvement tasks such as drywall taping, mudding, and finishing work. Responsibilities also include furniture staining and finishing, patching walls, roof repair, fine finishing work, concrete sealing, sign making, and both interior and exterior painting of all surfaces in the facility. The Painter may also be required to lend support to other trades on occasion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalency.
• Ability to establish and work with co-workers and the general public as necessary.
• Three (3) years related journeyman level experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of practices, procedures, tools, equipment, and techniques used in the trade.
• Ability to work days, evenings, graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation.
