In this role, you will spray surfaces of machines and manufactured parts with primer, pre-finish and finish coats of paint. Requirements

• Ability to successfully complete Vermeer Paint Training.
• Ability to meet established Vermeer quality standards.
• Ability to perform problem solving techniques and root cause analysis.
• Ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action in multiple situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals throughout the organization.
• Calculate figures and apply basic mathematical functions including ratios and percentages.
• Ability to work in a confined space, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Apply primer coating to treated metal, apply topcoat to primed parts and adjust paints per Vermeer's quality standards.
• Prepare parts prior to paint, as needed.
• Inspect parts throughout the process and repair paint defects to meet quality standards.
• Operate high pressure cleaning equipment to treat metal prior to painting.
• Perform regular and routine maintenance on paint equipment.
• Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations on safety as well as labeling, handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Perform rework and touch-ups as needed.
