About The Position

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven 2 years minimum experience as a painter in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
  • Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
  • At least 23 years of age due to insurance requirements (driving company vehicles)
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in painting or related trade.
  • Experience with drywall repair and surface finishing.
  • Ability to read blueprints or work orders.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and applying primer.
  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
  • Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
  • Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect adjacent areas.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for uniformity and touch up as needed.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Familiar with infection control and safety procedures and wear protective gear.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces.
