About The Position

The position involves performing surface preparation activities including masking and sanding of products before painting or sandblasting. The individual will carry out blasting and spray-painting operations, including applying preparatory undercoating. Responsibilities also include cleaning and maintaining paint shop equipment such as blast pots, air lines, fluid lines, paint pots, paint guns, and respirators. It is essential to ensure that all coatings are applied in accordance with NOV paint specifications or specific customer requirements. The role requires cleaning and storing empty paint containers for proper disposal, maintaining and replacing paint booth media filters and surface protectant coatings as required, and properly containing and managing hazardous waste generated from paint shop operations. Under general supervision, the individual will spray paint small and large component parts prior to assembly and final coating, comply with NOV company and HSE policies and procedures, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to proper safety practices. Other work-related duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial blasting and painting
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Willing and able to work overtime as required — including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to following all safety regulations and procedures
  • Adaptable and open to cross-training to learn various job duties
  • Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in a factory setting with a wide range of temperature variations
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled facility
  • Physically able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements for up to 12 hours per day
