About The Position

Painter Blaster must be able to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting, and paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using a spray gun, brush and rollers. Other duties may be assigned. Specific Duties and Responsibilities include reading work orders and receiving instructions verbally, preparing surfaces using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, grease, removing old paint, smoothing cracks, and filling holes. The role requires working at heights with no fear, filling cavities and dents with putty to attain a smooth surface, selecting and mixing coating liquid to produce the desired color according to specifications using a paddle or mechanical mixer, and may involve erecting scaffolding or setting up a ladder to perform tasks above ground level. The painter will apply paint to surfaces using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• No minimum education requirements.
• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
