The position involves computing paint mixture formulas, planning and programming the sequence of tasks in the spray paint booth, and adjusting controls for the paint booth furnace temperature and spray paint. The employee will inspect painted surfaces for coverage, flow, and color quality, measure the thickness and viscosity of paint applied, and review production schedules to estimate job requirements. Safety regulations must be enforced, and the employee will interpret specifications and job orders to determine necessary duties. Additionally, the role includes establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules, recommending improvements for production methods and equipment performance, and suggesting changes to enhance quality and efficiency. The employee will analyze and resolve work problems, maintain time and production records, estimate and requisition materials, and coordinate activities with supervisors and other departments. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
