About The Position

To increase quality and improve efficiency of the coating process.

Requirements

• Minimum of eight years in educational environment
• One year of powder coating experience desired or one year of Peerless Industries, Inc. manufacturing experience.
• Effectively communicates (written/verbal) with personnel from all departments
• Monitor on hand inventory of materials.
• Perform procedures that improve the department’s KPI’s including chemical tests, appearance, adhesion and cure.
• Perform in a high speed/high mix paint environment.
• Understand the painting process quality and its impact on downstream processes and the end-user customer.
• Effectively prepare equipment for color changes between batches.
• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends
• Must be physically capable of standing/bending /stooping/griping/reaching/etc. for 8+ hour shift(s)
• Must be able to lift up to 30 Lbs. without assistance and up to 70 Lbs. with assistance (Floor to waist, waist to shoulder, above shoulders and head)
• Must be able to work in non-climate, non-dust-controlled areas
• Must be able to wear required safety equipment including safety shoes, Tyvek suits, gloves, glasses, and respirators.

• Maintains good communication channel with Paintline Manager.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
