We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Paint Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will prepare and paint components and products according to quality and specification standards. Your work will directly contribute to the performance and appearance of Vertiv's critical infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or spray application preferred.
• Knowledge of paint types, surface prep, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret paint specifications, work orders, and safety data sheets (SDS).
• Familiarity with painting tools and equipment, including spray guns, HVLP systems, and pressure pots.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sand, and mask components to prepare surfaces for paint application, ensuring proper adhesion and finish quality.
• Apply primers, topcoats, and finishes using spray guns or other painting equipment according to product specifications and safety guidelines.
• Visually inspect painted surfaces for runs, sags, or other defects; perform touch-up or rework as needed to meet quality standards.
• Mix and prepare paints, maintain paint booths, spray equipment, and workstations to ensure consistent performance and cleanliness.
• Record paint usage, lot numbers, and any deviations from standard procedures in compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), handling of chemicals, and ventilation practices.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure timely completion of painted components within production schedules.
