About The Position

As a Paint Technician at Caterpillar, you will be responsible for operating equipment to apply industrial powder coat or paint on metals or products according to specified work orders. This role involves adhering to safety procedures and may include various tasks such as shot blasting, loading/unloading, and operating forklifts. Requirements

• Prior work experience in a related field.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive operations.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with forklifts.
• Experience in masking/demasking, loading/unloading, shot blasting, etc.
• Experience in equipment paint processing.
• Experience in top coat, prime coat, and electrostatic paint.
• Ability to read blueprints / engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate powder coat, paint, or other equipment to apply industrial powder coat or paint on metals or products according to specified work orders.
• Follow required safety procedures at all times.
• Work in various roles including shot blast operator, powder painter, caulker, blow off operator, loader/unloader, masker/demasker, pre-inspector, and forklift operator.
• Perform loading and unloading tasks as needed.
