We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fill the role of Paint Sprayer. This full-time, day or night shift position is based in Mifflintown, PA, and offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to a culture built on quality, integrity, and teamwork. The Paint Sprayer 2 is responsible for the application of solvent-based paints, stains and other coating materials on wood components. The Paint Sprayer 2 is also responsible for color match verification and quality assurance of parts finished.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent required with 2-4 years’ experience in related field.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to understand work instructions and directions in English.
  • Good analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to measure out and catalyze material as needed
  • Must ensure the quality application of coatings to ensure compliance with set quality standards
  • Must be proficient in Paint and Topcoat
  • Must keep supervisor and/or manager informed of the quality of parts received from other departments
  • Must be able to maintain a spray application of 3.5-4.0 wet mils on all parts on a consistent basis
  • Must have the ability to produce and ensure a quality finish from start to finish
  • Must have good "color eye"
  • Ability to adjust spraying equipment to insure proper application of coating materials
  • Must be able to read and understand instructions and documents in English
  • Possess the ability to learn all species of wood used for production and finish colors by sight
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of the Essential Cabinetry Group Hazardous Communication Program
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of basic hazardous waste generator responsibilities
  • Accurately label containers for paints, stains, cleaning solvents and hazardous waste
  • Properly dispose of used finishing products in the designated hazardous waste accumulation points
  • Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, federal, state, and local laws
  • Other duties as assigned.
