Paint Shop Technician
About The Position
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely. Removes rust from metal, and grease and dirt from work surface. Masks or covers parts that are not to be painted or coated. Load/Unload trucks Blast Parts, sand parts and hang parts Wash Truck/Parts Fills cavities and/or dents to attain smooth surface. Mixes paint according to specifications. Mixes coating to produce desired color. Inspects painted units for quality. Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair. Keeps work area clean. Obtain necessary materials needed for shipping or stocking. Read and follow internal and external order sheets. Empty chip and scrap buckets into correct receptacle. Use appropriate software system to verify status of inventory. Perform other related duties as assigned. Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
Requirements
- Able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass Fork Lift Certification process.
- Possess basic computer operating and data entry skills.
