The position involves operating, monitoring, and servicing paint line delivery and rinse systems. The individual will be responsible for monitoring pH levels, replacing filters, and adding chemicals to the rinse system as directed. They will prepare, deliver, and switch paint and catalyst when necessary, and must have the ability to detect malfunctions and take corrective action on processes as necessary. A working knowledge of paint and solvent chemistry and mixing processes is essential. The role also includes teaching and training operators in job-specific functions and techniques, ensuring processes result in the production of quality products, and directing booth and station changeovers as well as the flow of materials and products to and from various workstations. The individual will assist and work together with other personnel to ensure adherence to safety and environmental rules and regulations, notify the appropriate personnel of matters concerning product quality, process efficiency, or standards, and complete and maintain all required paperwork. Additionally, they will conduct paint inventory and request new supplies when required, monitor and maintain cleanliness of paint delivery and rinse systems, and follow all safety rules and regulations.
