About The Position

The Production Group Leader will supervise Team Leaders and Members in the manufacturing and quality areas within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role involves directing and coordinating the activities of multiple team leaders engaged in the production of automotive vehicles. The leader will plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals, inspect materials and products for defects, and demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures. The position requires monitoring work processes to ensure compliance with production standards and implementing corrective actions as necessary. The leader will also be accountable for team performance, address grievances, support management in problem-solving initiatives, and participate in hiring and evaluations of team members. Additionally, the leader will ensure adherence to company policies and maintain positive working relationships with team members and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 – 5 years of job-related experience preferred.
  • Strong command of the English language (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Team Leaders/Members in the manufacturing/quality areas.

  • Demonstrate equipment operations and work & safety procedures.

  • Assign, distribute, and coordinate the work of the team.
  • Ensure quality and quantity of work is completed on time.
  • Implement corrective actions according to policy.
  • Accountable for team performance.
  • Address Team Member grievances/complaints.
  • Support management in problem-solving and production needs.
  • Participate in hiring and promotion activities.
  • Conduct evaluations of Team Members and provide recommendations.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations.
  • Responsible for safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Undertake special assignments as required.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper completion of time input and other tasks.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Administer and comply with Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
