Holman's upfitting division is seeking a motivated Industrial Paint Prepper to prepare equipment, parts, and large truck bodies for painting at our Bartlett, IL facility. This role involves cleaning, sanding, masking, and other prep tasks to ensure surfaces are ready for high-quality industrial finishes. Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm Benefits include health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, paid time off and more! Eligible for benefits within 30 days of employment The Paint Prepper is responsible for the preparation of equipment, parts and materials for the Industrial painting process, which includes masking, sanding and prepping.

Requirements

  • Previous Industrial Prep experience
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to safely use electrical and power tools.
  • Commitment to following company standards, including procedures, quality expectations, attendance, and performance.
  • Must pass a physical, drug test, and background check prior to employment

Responsibilities

  • Inspect truck bodies and remove sand scratches or surface imperfections.
  • Thoroughly clean parts & bodies using a power washer and automotive-grade soap.
  • Apply phosphate solutions to promote proper paint adhesion.
  • Apply seam sealer to unwelded areas to prevent rust.
  • Prep parts for the paint department, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Operate tools and Industrial equipment safely and correctly, following company procedures
