G3 Boats is seeking high energy and hard working candidates for paint prep. This candidates should have a sharp eye for attention to detail and take pride in quality. Your responsibilities involve steps such as the removal of dirt from the surface and parts due for painting. You may sand, polish, retouch, buff, degrease, or otherwise clean the surface. Summary of Job: Employees of this class are expected to work with some degree of independence and motivation. This individual will be prepping aluminum boats and parts for painting as well as using hand tools and measuring devices.
Requirements
- Observe all safety rules in performance of duties.
- Skilled in sanding, taping and drying boats.
- Need some knowledge of how to assemble things.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time.
- Capable of working in a warm environment of 100 degrees or over.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
- Must be able to use hands and wrists frequently.
- Must be able to work safely.
- Capable of getting in and out of boats.
Responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping on a daily basis to maintain a safe work environment.
- Masking of various parts and boats.
- Reading a tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Use air tools such as grinders, sanders, drills and spray equipment.
- Responsible for the quality of work they complete.
- Work quick under pressure and able to work overtime.
- Work in a warm environment of 100 degrees or over.
