Job Description Paint Prep Assembler The Paint Prep Assembler plays a crucial role in preparing pumping units and accessory equipment for painting. This responsibility ensures paint adhesion and functionality. Additionally, the assembler is responsible for the re-assembly and decaling of units and/or accessory equipment post-painting.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble and safely store components from both newly fabricated and refurbished equipment.
- Effectively mask equipment using tape and masking materials to prepare for painting.
- Employ techniques such as power washing, sanding, and grinding to refurbish and repaint equipment.
- Reassemble equipment and accurately apply vinyl labels in line with production and/or customer specifications.
- Operate a forklift to move equipment in and out of preparation and paint booth areas.
