Part marks and paints OEM and CSO parts and assemblies as required. The technician works with a minimum amount of supervision, following prints, processes, specifications, and other applicable documentation. Responsibilities include mixing paint to process specifications, part marking piece parts and assemblies, cleaning, masking, painting, performing touch-up painting, and paint stripping on parts and assemblies. The technician also applies or reapplies dry film lubricant coatings, tracks and orders paint-related supplies, and participates in continuous improvement activities.

  • Works with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Works from prints, processes, specifications, and other applicable documentation.
  • Mixes paint to process and/or specifications.
  • Part marks piece parts and/or assemblies per process sheet or blueprint.
  • Cleans, masks, paints, performs touch-up painting and paint stripping on piece parts and assemblies.
  • Applies or reapplies dry film lubricant coatings.
  • Responsible for monthly inventory for age-sensitive materials.
  • Responsible for tracking and ordering all paint related supplies.
  • Uses good judgment in the care and handling of all tools, equipment and parts in process.
  • Keeps equipment and work area clean and in good working order.
  • Helps train new employees when necessary.
  • Must be able to read and work from process sheets, blueprints, specifications and other applicable documentation.
  • Must have one or more years' experience as an HSD spray painter and know how to properly mix paint and operate all associated equipment.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities/efforts with the classification/department.
  • One or more years' experience as an HSD spray painter.
  • Ability to properly mix paint and operate all associated equipment.
  • Ability to read and work from process sheets, blueprints, specifications and other applicable documentation.
