About The Position

The Paint Operator or Powder Coater at Bowtech Archery is responsible for performing entry-level paint and powder coat operations under the supervision of the Decoration Supervisor. The role requires proficiency in at least one base coat job skill and knowledge of additional paint operations tasks. The operator will prepare and apply coatings, maintain equipment, and ensure quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in general manufacturing work preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong attention to detail required.
• Proven track record of solid work history required.
• Basic knowledge of archery terms preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for up to 10 hours per day.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Select and mix coating paints to desired color and prepare spraying equipment.
• Read and understand technical documents such as paint mixing procedures.
• Maintain and clean spraying equipment daily.
• Operate the blaster to clean steel according to specified safety requirements.
• Prepare parts for powder coating and operate coating equipment including guns and hoppers.
• Perform visual inspections to determine paint flow and coating quality.
• Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations.
• Load and unload parts or products on fixtures.
