Boeing Global Services(BGS) is looking for a Aviation Paint Mixer (Level B) to join the Paint Shop team in Coppell, Texas. The ideal candidate must have the ability to read, understand, and interpret paint formulation, color analysis, knowledge of color space, and develop decorative finishes. The major function will be to follow paint formulation and mix based on recipe. This will include applying the paint to a test card for review. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Requirements

  • Knowledge paint formulation and paint application techniques to evaluate, match, and develop decorative finishes.
  • Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, and calibration requirements.
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize paint and de-paint equipment.
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-disciplines of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.

Nice To Haves

  • Color match and QC lab experience is a plus.
  • 1 years or more in leadership roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares paint formulation for mixing.
  • Make adjustments to color as necessary.
  • Sets up, operates, and cleans paint/de-paint and corrosion control equipment and tools.
  • Prepares and mix finish top coat paint using different shop equipment.
  • Conducts inspections on equipment. Documents any deviations from specifications and performs necessary processes to meet requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, contracts, facilities and other pertinent Company policies.
  • Performs other duties as directed by supervision and management.
