About The Position

The Paint Line Associate position involves all aspects of painting metal, including setup, operation, inspection, and material handling activities. Associates will operate and monitor paint line equipment while maintaining high quality standards and adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities include completing tasks assigned by leadership, following SOPs, taking corrective actions for safety and quality, and managing waste materials. The role requires accurate documentation and collaboration with team members to meet production goals.

Requirements

  • 2 years of machine operator experience required.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math skills.
  • Must possess common sense, a positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance.
  • Must be quality and safety conscious, and a team player.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor paint line equipment while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Complete all tasks as assigned by CCL department leadership.
  • Read, understand, and follow the steps outlined in SOPs for each task being performed.
  • Take prompt corrective action to eliminate safety hazards and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Complete required documentation including production records and quality checks.
  • Perform established quality checks on material at required intervals.
  • Manage all wastes generated, including segregation of recyclable materials.
  • Operate waste water neutralization system and maintain waste water discharges.
  • Accurately record production information for EPA reports.
  • Prepare waste material for shipment offsite, including inspection and labeling.
  • Perform required inspections of hazardous waste accumulation areas.
  • Mix and prepare paint materials according to specifications.
  • Clean and maintain paint booth, spray equipment, and work area.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues.
  • Assist in inventory management of paint and supplies.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on paint line equipment.
